Script editing

I work as a script editor on independent films and high-end TV shows. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I take a character-first approach towards story development and use psychological approaches to dig deep into characters’ psychology, their relationships and how to work with these in order to compellingly engage audiences.

Over the last year, my clients have included RSA, The Bureau/wiip and the BFI.

Script / novel consultation

When I have time, I also provide screenwriters and novelists with developmental feedback on their work, through analysis of the premise, plot, themes, characterisation, character development, dialogue, tension and scene construction. In my typical consultation I provide the writer with detailed notes (or page notes) and then meet to discuss these in a 1.5 hour meeting on Zoom.
